Dancing with the Stars – On to the Semis

I usually write a recap of Dancing with the Stars on performance night, but this week my favorite (and only) cat, Oscar, is really sick. He has been at the hospital all day getting fluids to see if we can get his kidneys functioning properly and then he comes home for the night.

All of this trauma did not get in the way of my watching DWTS this week… just no time, energy or inclination to write about it. We are down to the last five celebrities. Cloris is gone, not even in the audience as she had threatened to be, so there have been no shenanigans the last couple of weeks. The remaining celebrities can all dance well enough. What’s there to say?

Who went home?
This week it was going to be either Cody Linley or Maurice Greene who got voted off. I am glad that Maurice was the one to go. He seems like he has been very popular with the other dancers, but it has not translated to television. I checked last night with a ballroom dancer friend who agreed, he just did not reach the audience. Whereas Cody Linley comes across as this goofy, lovable kid. He is the weakest dancer left, but it will be fun to watch him.

Who is going to win?
Brooke Burke is the best dancer. No doubt about it. Warren Sapp is the probably the most popular. I mean really, how could you not love this guy? And he’s not so bad on the dance floor either. So it is going to be Brooke or Warren who win this season.

Lance & Lacey
Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer have been fun to watch all season — particularly when they are breaking the rules and pissing Len off.

And one last thing
What was up with Len this week? He gave almost every couple the same score! There is no way that they were all the same. Was Brooke Burke’s first dance the same as Maurice’s and Cody’s? I don’t think so!
